Physiological Testing

Physiological testing is the testing of organisms to determine what their normal functioning consists of. This type of testing is necessary in order to ascertain the production and growth limits for various biomass crops.

The physiological testing group works to determine how a variety of stressors affect the growth and development of various biomass plants. The findings produced by this research can be used to help determine when, where, how, and what biomass crops should be grown in Mississippi to maximize the environmental and economic sustainability of a biomass cropping industry.
